The Realm of Feror
Kolia of the Great Sea
City-State: None, though the Great Sea is considered her dominion
Feror is surrounded by a ‘Great Sea,’ which keeps the large continent isolated from anything else that may be in the realm. This body of water is home to many seafolk who worship Kolia, Queen of the Great Sea and patron of the sailors and pirates who make their living above her depths. Though she is not considered a ‘true’ deity by many of the land folk, that doesn’t stop them from making sacrifices before they have to take to the sea. Some say she resides in the belly of a great kraken, holding court amongst her favored subjects. Other’s say she is that same beast, but few do so anywhere near the Sea.
Her people, the merfolk who occasionally make contact with the land folk, speak of her enmity to the ‘false god’ of the fish people, who has risen to prominence as its clerics spread their mad ramblings. Other heretics whisper that she seeks to become their god by allowing them to dream up something terrible, that she may subjugate.
